Tarareando Hanging By A Moment de Lifehouse

Aprovechando la noticia sobre la grabación del nuevo álbum de Lifehouse, recuperamos para tararear el tema que les lanzó a la fama, Hanging By A Moment. El tema fue publicado en noviembre del año 2000 como primer sencillo de su disco de debut No Name Face.

Curiosamente, el entonces jovencísimo Jason Wade, líder de la banda, compuso el tema en un abrir y cerrar de ojos en el estudio, mucho antes de empezar la grabación de No Name Face. Con la misma rapidez, la canción catapultó al grupo del completo anonimato al estrellato. Su sonido y sobretodo la característica voz de Wade pasaron a ser uno de los puntos de referencia del resto de grupos que formaban parte de la escena del rock alternativo americano.

Hanging By A Moment fue número uno tanto en Australia como en los Estados Unidos, formó parte de una infinidad de bandas sonoras, tanto de series como de películas, ganó numerosos premios como canción del año 2001 de la revista Billboard, y sobretodo, el detalle más importante es que fue la canción más emitida por las radios norteamericanas durante el 2001.

El tema reflejaba, a parte del talento de Jason Wade, la esencia post-grunge con la que Lifehouse bañó tanto su debut como su segundo trabajo, Stanley Climbfall, y que en posteriores discos fueron perdiendo paulatinamente desembocando en acercamiento al pop y a una aparente comercialidad.
